On April 23, 2024, Niantic, the developer of “Pokémon GO”, announced that its AR mobile game “Monster Hunter Now” (iOS/Android) has exceeded 15 million downloads.

“Monster Hunter Now” is jointly produced by Niantic and Capcom and will officially launch on iOS and Android platforms on September 14, 2023. One week after the game was launched, the official announced that the number of downloads exceeded 5 million.

Capcom has previously stated that it does not expect the game to make money, and the purpose is to expand the popularity of the IP.
