Alpha Dog Studios, the developer of the “Mighty Doom” mobile game, will also close. Roundhouse Games will merge with The Elder Scrolls Online developer ZeniMax Online Studios. Microsoft did not disclose how many employees will lose their jobs, and IGN has asked Bethesda and Microsoft for comment.
In an email to employees from Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty, Microsoft blamed the layoffs on “reprioritizing games and resources.”
