According to foreign media reports, Disney’s game department has expanded its leadership team and appointed many game industry figures from Blizzard and Ubisoft to join the company.

It is understood that Ray Gresko, who previously served as the chief development officer of Blizzard’s “World of Warcraft” studio, has joined the Disney game department and will serve as senior vice president of product and development. Bjorn Tornqvist, who has previously worked at Ubisoft and its Swedish studio Massive for nearly 20 years, will assume a technical leadership position at Disney.

Sean Shoptaw, head of Disney games, has been promoted to executive vice president, and Jay Ong, head of Marvel games, who has served for nearly ten years, will be transferred to head of Disney’s global game licensing business, responsible for the licensing business of all its brands. Gresko, Tornqvist and Ong will report directly to Sean, head of Disney’s gaming division.
